Baby Quilt Service Day



Last weekend, Julie and I joined a troupe of quilters for a day of putting together baby quilts for the Colorado Springs Pregnancy Center. We were assured that there were jobs for non-sewers like me, and there were.



We worked with one other lady to safety pin the quilt "sandwiches" together (i.e. top layer, batting, bottom layer). Julie placed the safety pins on the squares while the other lady and I fastened them. We stayed for a couple hours to help, and it was a neat experience to be a part of the creation of those quilts.
