After Julie got home, Everest went down for a short nap, and Julie and I made some gingerbread dough to refrigerate for later, then I made pancakes for dinner. (I'm so pleased that I have cooked every night this week--at last getting into a good pattern!) We hurried out the door afterwards to get Julie to her evening choir concert on time.

We met Nana and Papa there; they saved seats for me and Everest. The concert was a lot of fun. It was neat to see and hear all the songs she has been practicing at home. Everest knew how a lot of them went too (due to all the practicing), so he enjoyed singing or dancing along.

This is Julie and her two best friends in the world:

After the concert, we went to Culvers for custard. We got to see Legolas while we were there--hooray! Nana and Papa came along to help celebrate the successful concert night.

Understandably, it took awhile to get the kids settled down to bed but once they were asleep, they were NOT getting up. Legolas came by later to chat and watch a movie. Fun times! I was exhausted by time bed rolled around though. Morning was going to come waaaay too soon.
Parting Shots
Everest took these, composed them and everything, and I did a little high-contrast, Photoshop magic on them.
